TAFER Hotels & Resorts Recognized with AAA Four and Five Diamond Designations

PUERTO VALLARTA (September 2021) — TAFER Hotels & Resorts, a collection of luxurious, award-winning resorts located in Mexico’s top beach destinations, is pleased to announce that three of its resorts have once again earned the coveted AAA Four and Five Diamond Designation for 2021.

AAA Diamond designations are granted based on the ratings of AAA’s team of professional inspectors, who carry out rigorous inspections on quality, cleanliness, facilities, and condition at hotels and resorts across North America during anonymous overnight stays. Diamond ratings inform travelers on the level of service and quality of facilities they can expect. The inspectors assign a designation on a sliding scale of either Approved, Three Diamond, Four Diamond, or Five Diamond. Approved designations indicate that the hotel meets the basic requirements for an affordable price while Five Diamond ratings represent the ultimate luxury indulgence. Diamond designations are awarded based on objective criteria and evaluated by trained experts, while Star reviews are based on subjective opinions.

Out of 53,000 AAA Diamond designated hotels and restaurants in the U.S. & Hawaii, Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico, only 182 have Five Diamond distinction and 2,354 have achieved Four Diamond status. Four and Five Diamond designations represent the upper echelon of the hospitality industry.

It is an honor for TAFER to have once again received the prestigious Four and Five Diamond recognition from AAA at three of its resorts including: Hotel Mousai, Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa in Puerto Vallarta, and Villa del Palmar Cancun Luxury Beach Resort & Spa.

Hotel Mousai is the first and only Five Diamond rated hotel in Puerto Vallarta and the entire state of Jalisco. Five Diamond ratings are awarded to resorts that offer world-class luxury and

amenities for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Hotel Mousai received its first Five Diamond award in 2015 and has continued to maintain its Five Diamond rating for the past seven years, as the upscale resort strives to be the best of the best.

Villa del Palmar Cancun Luxury Beach Resort and Spa located on Playa Mujeres in Cancun is proud to have had its Four Diamond recognition renewed in 2021 and in addition to that, it had the additional distinction of receiving the AAA Best of Housekeeping award, which is achieved by earning the highest possible hotel housekeeping scores. While AAA Diamond awards have been granted for more than 80 years, AAA Diamond Designations will now have the “Inspected Clean” digital badge next to the diamond designation, which means that cleanliness has been verified by the inspectors at every AAA Diamond resort, based on stringent criteria, so travelers can have the peace of mind that Diamond rated resorts are kept as clean as possible.
