Designed to elevate the guest experience, these events present a range of immersive, on-site programming that reflects TAFER’s core pillars of authenticity, cultural influence and culinary excellence. This year’s highly anticipated series of events includes Made in Mexico (September), Festival of Flavors (October) and Day of the Dead Festival (November), each offering curated experiences that strengthen the connection between travelers and Mexico’s rich heritage. During these months, guests at each of TAFER’s luxury all-inclusive properties in Los Cabos, Cancun and Puerto Vallarta, can participate in exclusive activations, educational classes and more, through TAFER’s signature Gourmet Culinary All-Inclusive Plan.

Made in Mexico | September
Now in its fourth consecutive year, Made in Mexico returns this September as a vibrant, month-long celebration that pays homage to Mexico’s rich heritage and commemorates its independence with captivating experiences. During the month, guests of all ages can immerse themselves in an array of authentic culinary, wellness, and cultural experiences. These include special menus at each property’s signature restaurants highlighting signature Mexican flavors, poolside welcome drinks and signature Antojitos mexicanos (Mexican snacks), small bites featuring regional ingredients with live music and Mariachi performances, along with agave and cacao experiences and Mexican mole tastings, interactive cooking classes of traditional dishes and classes led by local tequila makers who will share insights into the origins of spirits like tequila and mezcal. Wellness enthusiasts can experience authentic Mexican beauty treatments and Mayan healing rituals to mend both the body and the mind. Highlighted services include restorative facial and body treatments such as the gentle Rebozo massage that incorporates native ingredients like agave and cacao, in addition to TAFER’s signature Hydrotherapy Circuit at Spa Imagine, which invites guests to experience the healing properties of water through several hot and cold stations.
For those traveling with children, TAFER’s signature Little Luxuries family program offers engaging activities including face painting, ancestral Mexican games, traditional Mexican Cumbia live dance performances, beachside fiestas and more. Children will also be able to enjoy hands-on crafts and activities at the onsite Kids’ Club, such as Papel Picado workshops, piñata crafting, handcrafted Luchadores masks and Huichol figures, ceramics classes, and learning about local fruits and vegetables.
Festival of Flavors | October
In October, TAFER’s Festival of Flavors will return for its second year and feature a series of elevated food and beverage events and experiences, like lively cocktail and craft beer nights, exclusive pairing dinners with renowned and notable spirit partners and guest sommeliers, educational mezcal tastings, and more. The culinary festival will showcase a diverse selection of outstanding regional chefs and mixologists, and partnerships with iconic global brands such as Patrón, José Cuervo, Moët & Chandon, Cielito Lindo Brewery, Minerva Craft Beer, Ilegal Mezcal and others.
Guests at each property can enjoy bespoke culinary experiences including a premium José Cuervo Tequila Tasting and tea experience with Ronnefeldt teas in Cancun; Tuna Cutting Show + Omakase & Sake Pairing led by Chef Ernesto Olvera, Mezcal Guided Tasting with Ilegal Mezcal and Homemade Pasta Experience with Italian wine pairings hosted by Chef Massimo Fongaro in Puerto Vallarta, among other immersive guest activities.
Day of the Dead Festival | November 1-2
TAFER’s annual Day of the Dead Festival runs November 1 & 2 at each TAFER resort, honoring Mexico’s traditional Día de Los Muertos celebration. Guests who visit any of the properties during these dates will have the opportunity to enjoy authentic Mexican fare at the resorts’ signature restaurants, including traditional Día de Los Muertos items such as Pan de Muerto and tamales, and other dishes that incorporate festive ingredients like squash blossoms, corn, and sweet potatoes. Guests taking advantage of the Gourmet Culinary All-Inclusive Plan can also indulge in a selection of signature Day of the Dead cocktails made and garnished with the iconic Mexican marigold flower, cempasúchil, which is referred to in Mexican culture as ‘the flower of dead’. Drawing inspiration from Mexico’s indigenous customs and rituals, visitors can also partake in several hands-on activities including sugar skull painting, papier-mâché making, trick or treating with classic Mexican treats, face-painting and more.
At the resort’s onsite Kids’ Clubs, children can learn how to write abbreviated versions of the satirical calavera poem, how to make icing for sugar sweets, construct paper flowers and altar displays, watch festive movies like Pixar’s Coco, among other activities.
