TAFER Hotels & Resorts Announce the Official Opening of TierraLuna

TierraLuna is a spectacular new outdoor space in the heart of Garza Blanca Preserve in Puerto Vallarta designed for entertainment and shopping. With 9 Boutiques, gourmet restaurants, and a family carousel, you will discover happiness in nature’s paradise.

PUERTO VALLARTA (August 2021) — TAFER Hotels & Resorts are excited to announce the official opening of TierraLuna, a brand-new open-air shopping village in the heart of Garza Blanca’s nature preserve on Wednesday, August 4th, 2021.

Garza Blanca Preserve in Puerto Vallarta is home to two of TAFER Hotels & Resorts luxury award-winning hotels including Hotel Mousai, the only AAA five diamond-rated resort in Jalisco located on the mountainside, and Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa, Mousai’s beachfront sister resort.

TierraLuna is ideally situated on the mountainside, adjacent to Hotel Mousai, where it offers its visitors unobstructed views of Banderas Bay, the Pacific Ocean, and the lush greenery of the Sierra Madre jungle. Visitors will love the naturally beautiful spaces that include outdoor living rooms, a cultural forum for weddings and events, an outdoor deck for yoga, a whimsical family carousel, nine specialist boutiques, and four gourmet restaurants with three set to open in Q4 of this year.

A trolley conveniently transports resort guests through Garza Blanca and Hotel Mousai and to and from the TierraLuna site. TierraLuna is open to resort guests as well as to members of the general public.

The exciting opening event will take place on August 4th from 3:00 pm to 10:30 pm and will feature a Sunset Cocktail from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm with mixology cocktails and live instrumental music to create a magical atmosphere at sunset. For the opening, five boutiques will be in operation including: AMA (Minimal Wear), Palma (Resort Wear), Piedra de Rio (handicrafts), Zol (beachwear), and Luna Deli. The other four boutiques are expected to open by September 2021.

Admission to TierraLuna is free, but there will be an extra cost for cocktails for visitors and guests with the exception of all-inclusive guests. For guests of Hotel Mousai or Garza Blanca Preserve with the Gourmet Culinary All-Inclusive plan, the cost of the cocktails at TierraLuna’s Sunset Cocktail are included.

After the opening event, TierraLuna will be open daily from 3:00 pm to 10:30 pm and the Sunset Cocktail with live music will be held daily between 8:00 pm and 9:30 pm (weather permitting).

While TierraLuna is open daily, Friday evenings are particularly special. Every Friday evening between 7:00 pm and 10:30 pm, visitors can watch the space really come to life as it hosts an Art Walk and Farmers Market (weather permitting).

The Art Walk is an outdoor exhibition featuring work from local and national artists, where visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artists as well as admire their unique works of art.

The Farmers Market highlights Mexico’s rich culture and local vendors come to sell high-quality local products including typical Mexican handicrafts, blankets and embroidered pillows, handmade clothing, alebrijes, hand-blown glass ornaments, handcrafted jewelry, and so much more.

During the rest of the week, visitors will be able to shop at TierraLuna’s boutiques to find the best locally sourced clothing, handicrafts, jewelry, and more. Five boutiques will be open initially and by September all 9 boutiques will be open.

For some downtime, the outdoor ´living rooms´, are places where visitors can rest and admire unparalleled views of Banderas Bay and the Sierra Madre mountains as well as be soothed by the sound of the river-fed pools. Families and their children will love the carousel that treats visitors to incredible 360º views as the carousel spins around (open daily from 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm). There is simply something for everyone at TierraLuna.

Three gourmet restaurants are set to open in December 2021 and will feature Karuma Grill, specializing in top-quality steaks, Canú Seafood for fresh locally caught seafood, and Kuali Food and Cocktails for gourmet bites and beverages. The opening date of the fourth restaurant is yet to be announced.

Until the restaurants open, visitors can enjoy a bite to eat at Luna Deli where We Proudly Serve Starbucks™ along with fresh sandwiches and pastries.
