Karuma The Art of Grill Opens at TierraLuna in January 2022

TAFER Resorts’ newest restaurant, Karuma The Art of Grill will open its doors to diners later this month. Karuma is located inside of the TierraLuna complex at Garza Blanca Preserve Resort and Spa in Puerto Vallarta, just south of downtown.

Karuma’s theme is based on the concept of fire, the most powerful natural element. With the power of fire, Executive Chef Andrés García and his team will transform exquisite cuts of meat into expertly grilled masterpieces.

The menu includes top quality cuts including Chateaubriand, Tomahawk steak and Prime Rib, but Chef García masterfully juxtaposes those hearty meat dishes with vegetarian and vegan fare.

Chef García has been cooking since he was a teenager, when at age 14 he opened a paella restaurant on his parents’ patio. From there he went on to study all types of cuisine, including French and vegetarian/vegan. Through his studies of world cuisines, he developed a passion for cooking and eating different foods from all over the world. He developed a style that made him adaptable and earned him spaces in prestigious competitions such as the Thierry Blouet Trophy and the Passion Trophy awarded by the French Culinary Academy.

He stays creative and innovative in the kitchen by paying attention to the environment, art, and literature, and by having conversations with other culinary professionals and diners in his restaurants.

García brings his talent and passion to Karuma with the goal of creating a unique gastronomic experience and a place for the community to enjoy, which he says is the essence of humanity.

Karuma The Art of Grill is opening in January 2022, and everyone is invited to visit and enjoy fire grilled favorites with a gorgeous view of the sun setting over the ocean in the perfect winter weather of Puerto Vallarta’s South Shore.

Karuma is not included in all-inclusive plans at Garza Blanca or Hotel Mousai, but guests can still dine at the restaurant and pay with cash or credit cards.

Another important detail - Karuma is open to the public! Diners do not need to be guests at Garza Blanca or Hotel Mousai to eat at the restaurant.

Karuma is open from 3:00pm to 10:00pm daily, which are the hours of TierraLuna Village.
